After completing this workshop, participants will be able to:
- identify self-determination skills
- describe strategies to encourage students to demonstrate necessary self-determination skills and to participate in their TIEP meetings.
- state advantages of the Self-Directed TIEP process (student directed meetings)
- describe the key concepts introduced at each level in the Standing Up for Me curriculum
- implement plan for using the Standing Up for Me curriculum
